I’m sure you’re wondering – what the heck is a “Bubbins?”
That would be the nickname we gave my son James. From the time he was born I think that we called him every nickname under the sun EXCEPT his name. He was “the baby,” honey, Jameson, bubba, bubs, a hundred other nicknames, and eventually bubbins! And that has definitely been one of my favorite nicknames for him.
When I first was creating this blog, I intended it to be about many different things in my life – motherhood, being a college student, general crafts, and crochet patterns. So I wanted the name of this blog to somehow encompass all of those things.
I ended up with “Life with Bubbins” because no matter WHAT I would be writing about it was going to be revolving around my life with my little one. But I quickly realized that this would be way too many niches to work in.
So I ended up settling on the nice that I would enjoy creating content for the most – crochet!
I love creating new crochet designs and working with yarn. And this blog and my Etsy shop have given me an amazing opportunity to keep being creative with yarn and create designs that I otherwise wouldn’t have come up with.
